A native of Maryland, Patrick L. Jennings attended Clemson University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in economics and a minor in legal studies in May 2003. He then attended the Florida Coastal School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate in December 2005. He also was given a pro bono award for work he had done throughout his time in law school.
While earning his law degree, Mr. Jennings studied international law and European Union law for a semester at the University College of London in 2004. Additionally, he became a Certified Legal Intern of the Supreme Court of Florida and served indigent clients in the issues of child custody, special education, wills, and trusts.
Mr. Jennings also served as a Guardian ad Litem to the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, where he was a court-appointed volunteer to children involved in judicial proceedings and protected their rights and advocated for their best interests.
