After receiving her Biology Degree from SUNY at Potsdam, Karen Collins attended Marist College to complete the school’s paralegal program. After her time at Marist, Mrs. Collins worked in law firms in New York in the capacity of a paralegal, but was also attending law school at Pace University School of Law in White Plains, NY. In her time at Pace, she made the Dean’s List and was presented with and American Jurisprudence Award in Communications Law. Upon graduation from Pace, Mrs. Collins was admitted to the New York State Bar and practiced for many years in the State of New York in administrative, State and Federal courts.
When she made the move to North Carolina in 2006, Mrs. Collins joined the North Carolina Department of Justice and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar. In 2008, she joined the team at Hardison & Cochran in the workers’ compensation division. Mrs. Collins now directs the Mass Tort division of Hardison & Cochran. She diligently works toward assisting clients and meeting their needs in situations where a defective product or dangerous drug has had a negative effect on a person’s health.
