Geoff McDonald is the CEO and President of Geoff McDonald & Associates, a Richmond law firm that focuses on providing services to clients in personal injury, workers’ compensation and Social Security disability cases.
Geoff has obtained more than $100 million in settlements and awards for his clients in civil cases and administrative law cases before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission.
He has also represented a number of labor unions in labor disputes and workers’ compensation matters and served as legal counsel for the Virginia State Building and Construction Trades Council.
His work has resulted in more than 200 written opinions, including decisions issued by the Virginia Court of Appeals. Several of these cases have helped to shape Virginia case law on a variety of issues that impact injury victims.
Geoff played football on scholarship for three years at the University of Hawaii before he transferred to the University of Virginia, where he helped the Cavaliers to win the 1984 Peach Bowl in the first bowl appearance in school history.
He went on to graduate from UVA with a degree in History and Foreign Affairs and to earn his law degree from the University of Richmond.
Today, Geoff is actively involved in his community, including serving as a member of the Rotary Club of Richmond and as a board member of Resource Opportunities, Inc., a non-profit arm of the Richmond Redevelopment Housing Authority which funds sports and arts opportunities for area children.
