Derek K. Burch is a co-founder of the Oklahoma law firm of Burch, George & Germany. He concentrates his practice solely on plaintiff’s personal injury cases.
After receiving his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1998, Burch spent the first 10 years of his legal career working at two law firms that handled commercial matters and insurance defense. He then joined forces with Kelly A. George to launch the firm of Burch & George in 1997.
Since then, he has achieved numerous significant outcomes, including seven-figure settlements and multi-million-dollar jury verdicts.
In addition to his achievements on behalf of clients, Burch is also active serving the Oklahoma communities of Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Norman. He has devoted much of his volunteer work to Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, an organization that provides legal assistance to children in the Juvenile Division of Oklahoma County District Court.
Oklahoma City University School of Law named him as the Outstanding Pro Bono Alumnus of the Year Award in 2011. In 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Howard K. Berry, Sr. Award for service to justice and the justice system by the Oklahoma County Bar Foundation.
